Job summary

Axon seeks an experienced Senior Site Reliability Engineer to strengthen the APX SRE organization in Seattle. You will build scalable Kubernetes platforms, improve reliability, and enhance developer tooling. The role emphasizes cloud-native practices, documentation, and cross-team collaboration.

You will partner with software engineers to design reliable systems, write clear code in multiple languages, and champion architectural improvements while working in a hybrid schedule from Seattle.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of platform engineering and container orchestration experience.
• Experience building platforms on Azure or AWS.
• Production experience with Kubernetes platforms (AKS/EKS).
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Go, C#, Java.
• Experience designing tooling for SaaS/PaaS operations and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Build robust Kubernetes platforms and tools for rapid provisioning and operation of services.
• Advocate cloud-native site reliability best practices.
• Write performant, maintainable, and clear code.
• Debug complex issues in cloud-native distributed systems.
• Plan and scope work to meet deadlines with strong project management.
• Educate teams on architectural patterns and best practices.
• Provide thorough documentation for self-service use.
• Drive improvements in reliability, operability, and cost efficiency.
