Job summary

Quevera is seeking a Senior Kubernetes Cloud Engineer to support mission-critical systems in a TS/SCI FSP environment. This role requires deep technical expertise in Kubernetes and AWS EKS, strong leadership skills, and the ability to mentor engineers while overseeing production cloud systems.

You will guide technical decisions, maintain production readiness, troubleshoot high-impact issues, and collaborate with the Technology Manager and Agile teams to deliver secure, highly available solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Software Architecture, or equivalent experience.
• Fourteen (14) or more years of engineering experience.
• Active TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph clearance.
• Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes and AWS EKS in production environments.
• Experience deploying containerized applications with kubectl, Helm, and Kustomize.
• Strong knowledge of AWS networking and IAM.
• Experience with observability tools such as CloudWatch, Prometheus, and Grafana.
• Proficiency with CI/CD and GitOps tools including GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, eksctl, and AWS CLI.
• Strong troubleshooting skills across distributed systems, networking, and cloud applications.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to mentor engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead senior-level Kubernetes and AWS cloud engineering initiatives.
• Mentor engineers and support daily technical work.
• Escalation point for complex production issues.
• Lead Agile ceremonies and review assignments.
• Design and manage EKS clusters, VPCs, and security groups.
• Ensure security, compliance, and continuous monitoring.
• Develop and maintain IaC and GitOps workflows.
