Job summary

Quevera seeks a Senior Kubernetes Cloud Engineer to support mission-critical systems in a TS/SCI environment near Annapolis Junction, MD.

You will lead Kubernetes and AWS EKS engineering, mentor engineers, and ensure production readiness, collaborating with the Technology Manager and Agile teams to deliver secure, highly available cloud solutions. A current TS/SCI with Poly clearance is required.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or diploma in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Software Architecture, or equivalent experience.
14+ years of engineering experience.
Active TS/SCI with Full Scope Poly clearance.
Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes and AWS EKS in production environments.
Experience deploying containerized applications with kubectl, Helm, and Kustomize.
Strong knowledge of AWS networking and IAM.
Proficiency with CI/CD and GitOps tools including GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, eksctl, and AWS CLI.
Strong troubleshooting skills across distributed systems, networking, and cloud applications.
Excellent communication skills and ability to mentor engineering teams.

Responsibilities

Provide technical leadership and mentor engineers in Kubernetes and AWS cloud engineering.
Lead Kubernetes and AWS EKS engineering in production environments.
Oversee deployment of containerized applications using kubectl, Helm, and Kustomize.
Design secure VPCs, subnets, and IAM roles for scalable EKS networking.
Manage IAM Roles for Service Accounts (IRSA) for least-privilege access.
Support audits, compliance, and continuous monitoring with security teams.
Lead and participate in Agile ceremonies and planning.
Ensure production readiness and respond to high-priority incidents.
Drive automation with CI/CD, GitOps using eksctl and AWS CLI.
