Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED. Preferred: experience in food handling and preparation and/or service delivery to the underprivileged or experience in HCCAA Programs.
• Ability to work as a team member and communicate effectively while interacting with diverse backgrounds.
• Be flexible with duties and maintain good interpersonal relations.
• Must be able to learn computer software as needed.

Responsibilities

• Prepare meals in accordance with regulations.
• Ensure proper portions and document results daily.
• Monitor temperatures for safe food handling and document results daily.
• Follow health and safety requirements; keep work areas neat and clean.
• Post menus signed by a dietician; note substitutions.
• Maintain inventory of kitchen equipment and food products.
• Care for and clean utensils, pans, and equipment; document weekly.
• Submit grocery orders weekly to Central Office or supplier.
• Shop for groceries locally as needed.
• Oversee delivery, handling, and storage of products and supplies.
• Maintain proper waste storage and control.
• Deliver Home Delivered Meals as needed.
• Assist with cleaning the Center facility.
• Manage day-to-day Center operations in Center Director’s absence; data entry of meal services.
• Enter personal time worked in timekeeping system.
