Job summary

Hill Country Community Action Association, Inc. is seeking a Center Aide to assist in kitchens and deliver meals to homebound clients or congregate sites. The role also supports Center Director with center operations such as filing, reporting, and data gathering.

Qualifications include a High School diploma or GED. Experience in food handling or service delivery is a plus. Strong teamwork, effective communication, and reliability are essential; bilingual skills are encouraged.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; experience in food handling or service delivery to underprivileged populations is preferred.
• Ability to work well in a team, communicate effectively, and maintain courtesy with diverse individuals.
• Must be able to learn computer software as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist with meal preparation in accordance with regulations.
• Monitor temperatures and document results daily for food safety.
• Package meals for delivery to designated sites and homebound clients.
• Transport meals to meal sites and assist with deliveries as needed.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly work area; perform kitchen equipment maintenance.
