Hill Country Community Action Association, Inc. seeks a Food Service Manager II to oversee timely meal preparation and service per federal nutrition standards and Texas codes.

The role manages the Center Kitchen, inventory, equipment maintenance, and safety procedures, including data entry of meal services in the Center Director's absence. Responsibilities include proper portioning, temperature monitoring, and daily documentation, maintaining clean facilities, coordinating grocery orders, and

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; preferred experience in food handling/serving the underprivileged or in HCCAA programs.
• Ability to work as a team member with effective communication and courtesy toward diverse backgrounds.
• Ability to maintain records and understand written/verbal instructions; ability to learn computer software as needed.

Responsabilités

• Prepare meals in accordance with regulations and ensure proper portions are served and documented daily.
• Monitor temperatures for safe handling and document results daily.
• Maintain health and safety standards; keep work and storage areas neat and clean.
• Post menus signed by a dietician, with substitutions as needed.
• Manage inventory of kitchen equipment and food products; submit weekly grocery orders.
• Oversee delivery, handling and storage of products; manage waste storage.
• Assist with center operations and data entry of meal services when Center Director is unavailable.
• Attend trainings as required; perform other tasks as needed.
