Job summary

Huntington Ingalls Industries, Mission Technologies division, seeks a Program Manager 3 for the Joint Training Synthetic Environment (JTSE) R&D program in support of the JS J7 Deputy Director Joint Training and Exercises. The role emphasizes leadership of a complex program, DoD customer coordination, and lifecycle management across JLVC, JTT, and JLLIS product lines.

Background with JS J7 DDJTE and a track record coordinating cost, schedule, and technical performance is required.

Qualifications

• 8 years relevant progressive experience with Bachelors in related field; 6 years with Masters; or 12 years with HS diploma.
• DoD experience or familiarity working with DoD customers, projects, and processes is highly preferred.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical audiences at executive levels.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and collaboration tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead the program and ensure timely, high-quality completion of Task Order requirements and deliverables.
• Establish milestones and monitor adherence to the program plan and schedule.
• Identify issues and develop solutions, including resource allocation or milestone changes.
• Develop program review sessions with government customers to discuss cost, schedule, resourcing, and technical performance.
• Manage subcontract efforts and monitor cost and schedule metrics.
• Act as the government customer’s point of contact for program activities.
• Meet regularly with the government customer to report project status and updates.
• Maintain relationships with the government customer and other agencies.
• Maintain effective staffing levels with a skilled workforce.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
