Job summary

Serco Inc. in Suffolk, VA, is seeking a full-time Technical Planner/Coordinator to support Joint Staff J-7 DDJTE/JTSD on the CJT contract.

You will build relationships with government, military, and contractor partners to plan, coordinate, and execute M&S, C4I, DB, and network capabilities for Joint and Combined exercises. You will manage the Joint Event Life Cycle, coordinate across multiple stakeholders, and develop technical documentation and readiness dashboards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
• 5 years’ experience with JLVC, M&S, and C4I in Joint or Combined exercises.
• Master's degree may substitute for up to 2 years of experience.
• Active Secret clearance with ability to obtain TS/SCI.
• US citizenship and passport or ability to obtain one.
• Experience in planning, integration, testing, or coordination within a DoD/Joint environment.
• Knowledge of JELC processes and joint exercise planning methodologies.
• MS Office and collaboration/tracking tools proficiency.
• Ability to travel up to 25% domestically and internationally.
• Ability to support night/weekend/extended-hour operations.

Responsibilities

• In This Role, You Will serve as the primary technical planning and coordination point for assigned Joint training exercises and events.
• Collaborate with government, military, contractors, and partners to turn objectives into actionable plans.
• Manage Joint Event Life Cycle requirements, schedules, milestones, risks, and support needs.
• Coordinate with planners, engineers, cybersecurity, intel SMEs, and admins.
• Develop, integrate, and validate M&S, C4I, databases, networks, and architectures for exercises.
• Coordinate connectivity, interoperability, and data exchange across diverse environments.
• Identify and coordinate personnel, facilities, IT, licensing, equipment, and software needs.
• Develop documentation: architecture diagrams, readiness dashboards, trackers, risk registers.
• Develop testing strategies, readiness criteria, and validation activities.
• Monitor readiness, assess impacts of changes, and advise leadership on actions.
• Lead technical coordination during execution, troubleshooting, and escalation.
• Facilitate working groups, AARs, lessons learned, and corrective actions.
• Support JTSE, JLVC modernization, and other M&S/C4I initiatives; pursue automation and analytics.
• Provide technical training and advisory support to government customers and personnel.
