Job summary

FlightSafety International is pursuing a JSE Mission Modeler to design, build, and execute large‑force virtual training scenarios for the Joint Simulation Environment and SCARS ecosystem. You will craft tactically credible events across multiple platforms and classifications, coordinating with GRID services to ensure fidelity and scalability.

The role requires hands-on authoring with Lua scripts, scenario data, and collaboration with SMEs, test teams, and government sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in aerospace engineering, systems engineering, or closely related technical field.
• 5+ years in military mission scenario development or distributed synthetic environments for DoD.
• Hands-on experience with military scenario authoring tools and constructive simulation frameworks.
• Familiarity with distributed simulation protocols (HLA, DIS, or TENA) and linking to networked environments.
• Operational knowledge of USAF or USN tactics to author credible training scenarios.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop mission scenarios for large‑force virtual training within the JSE synthetic battlespace.
• Coordinate with JSE GRID services to implement scenario content, entity state management, and sensor interactions.
• Maintain scenario libraries, Lua scripts, test plans, and AAR documentation across MLS environments.
• Support government test events at facilities like JITTC‑E, NAWDC, and DTTR with travel as needed.
