Job summary

JBT Marel seeks an Accountant to support the month-end close and work closely with the Corporate Accounting Manager and Senior Accountant. The role is hybrid in the office with no travel required, promoting a strong work/life balance as schedules normalize.

You will prepare journal entries, perform reconciliations, and coordinate with A/R, A/P, Payroll, and Fixed Assets, contributing to internal controls and process improvements.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years experience with accounting background.
• Experience with accounting and financial systems (Syteline ERP and HFM/OneStream).
• Thorough knowledge of basic accounting principles and internal controls.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office suite.
• Strong communication skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in month-end, quarter-end and year-end close processes.
• Prepare, code and record journal entries in GL.
• Process allocations and reclassification entries.
• Collaborate with A/R, A/P, Payroll, and other accounting functions.
• Prepare account reconciliations and analyze general ledger accounts.
• Support audit activities and internal controls.
• Participate in process improvement initiatives.
