Job summary

TPI Global Solutions is seeking a Lead Accountant – Joint Venture Accounting in Houston, TX. Hybrid work arrangement with 3 days on site per week.

You will oversee JV financial reporting, budgeting, cash management, and regulatory compliance, serving as the main financial contact for JV partners and auditors. The ideal candidate has 6+ years in accounting, strong JV or partnership experience, and solid knowledge of FERC reporting and SOX controls.

Qualifications

• Experience with regulatory reporting and audits, including SOX controls.
• Knowledge of internal controls and financial audit processes.
• Familiarity with joint venture accounting and complex financial arrangements.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review monthly financial statements and schedules for internal management and JV partners.
• Prepare, review, and approve monthly journal entries, including JV billings.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams (BD, Treasury, FP&A, Legal, Tax, Regulatory).
• Develop and prepare annual budgets for internal management and individual JVs.
• Coordinate cash calls, distributions, and cash management with JV partners.
• Prepare and review quarterly and annual FERC Form 3 and Form 2 regulatory reports.
• Perform reconciliations and variance analysis (actual vs. budget).
• Assist auditors during quarterly and year-end audits and provide documentation.
• Ensure compliance with SOX controls and related financial policies.
• Monitor compliance with joint venture agreements and identify optimization opportunities.
• Provide guidance to accounting analysts and mentor junior staff.
• Contribute to special projects and other accounting assignments.
