Job summary

LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager, Joint Ventures to oversee accounting for the organization’s JV portfolio. You will ensure timely financial reporting, manage month-end closes, and maintain strong internal controls across multiple entities within a growing healthcare framework.

Responsibilities include overseeing journal entries and reconciliations, partnering with operational leaders, and supporting budgeting, forecasting, and audits to ensure GAAP

Qualifications

Job description

We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager, Joint Ventures to oversee the accounting and financial reporting activities for the organization’s joint venture portfolio. This individual will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, managing month-end close activities, maintaining strong internal controls, and serving as a key accounting resource for joint venture operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee accounting and financial reporting for joint venture entities
• Manage the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes for assigned joint ventures
• Review journal entries, account reconciliations, accruals, and financial statements
• Ensure accurate accounting for ownership interests, distributions, contributions, and other joint venture activity
• Monitor intercompany and partner-related transactions and ensure appropriate reconciliation and elimination
• Analyze financial results and investigate significant variances
• Maintain supporting schedules and documentation related to joint venture accounting
• Partner with operational and finance leaders to understand business activity and ensure transactions are appropriately reflected in the financial statements
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis related to joint venture entities
• Support internal and external audit requests
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and established accounting policies and procedures
• Maintain and strengthen internal controls surrounding joint venture accounting
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, reporting, and overall efficiency
• Assist with new joint venture activity, including accounting setup and integration, as needed
• Serve as a key point of contact for accounting-related questions involving joint venture partners
• Support additional accounting and finance initiatives as the organization continues to grow

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• CPA preferred
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Previous joint venture accounting experience strongly preferred
• Healthcare industry experience preferred
• Strong understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, and month-end close processes
• Experience working with multiple legal entities or complex organizational structures
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally with accounting, finance, operations, and external partners
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines

Preferred Background

• Healthcare services, physician practice, hospital, ambulatory, or other multi-entity healthcare experience
• Experience managing accounting for multiple joint ventures or legal entities
• Public accounting experience is a plus
• Experience within a growing or acquisitive organization is a plus
