Job summary

The Senior Joint Venture Accountant at Brixmor Property Group will oversee day-to-day accounting for the Company’s joint ventures, coordinate monthly and quarterly closes, and prepare financial and partner reporting packages from our Plymouth, MN office. This role partners with teams across property accounting, treasury, tax, legal, asset management, and external auditors to ensure compliance with U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Two to three years of relevant accounting experience.
• Public accounting, real estate, joint venture, or corporate accounting experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting principles.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day accounting and monthly close for joint ventures.
• Support quarterly and annual financial reporting, including SEC filings.
• Assist with debt and equity accounting, including covenant compliance.
• Serve as primary contact for joint venture partners and service providers.
• Prepare monthly and quarterly JV financial statements and analyses.
• Support consolidation, eliminating entries and noncontrolling interests.
• Ensure compliance with JV agreements and maintain documentation.
• Assist with accounting research and memos for acquisitions, dispositions, financings.
• Collaborate with auditors and drive reporting improvements through analytics.
