Job summary

Brixmor Property Group seeks a Senior Accountant for Corporate Accounting & Reporting to oversee the day-to-day accounting for the company’s joint ventures, maintain accurate books, and coordinate the monthly and quarterly close while supporting debt and equity reporting. The role collaborates with JV stakeholders, property accounting, treasury, tax, legal, asset management, and external auditors.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and general ledger accounting.
• Experience with consolidations and financial statement preparation.
• Experience with debt and equity accounting is preferred.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and able to meet strict deadlines.
• Ability to research accounting guidance and document conclusions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day accounting and monthly close for joint ventures.
• Support quarterly and annual financial reporting, including SEC filings.
• Assist with debt/equity accounting, reconciliations, covenants and disclosures.
• Coordinate with JV partners, property managers, and auditors.
• Prepare monthly and quarterly joint venture financial statements and reports.
• Support consolidation, eliminations, and noncontrolling interest calculations.
• Identify improvements to reporting processes and implement automation.
