Job summary

Serco is seeking a Principal Military Trainer - Senior Operations Exercise Planner in Suffolk, VA to support Joint Staff J-7 and CJT readiness. The role involves planning, designing, and delivering joint/multi-national exercises and providing expert consulting to defense clients.

The candidate must hold U.S. citizenship with an active DoW Secret clearance (Top Secret/SCI pending). On-site work in Suffolk, VA is required with travel up to 25%.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizenship required.
• Active DoW Secret clearance with ability to obtain Top Secret/SCI.
• Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years of joint operational experience (or Master’s with 6+ years).
• Minimum 3 years on a 3- or 4-star Joint or Service Headquarters staff or civilian equivalent.
• Willingness to travel up to 25%.
• On-site work in Suffolk, VA.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a functional expert for planning, conceptualizing, and preparing joint and combined military exercises.
• Provide consulting to military/defense clients in development and evaluation of training and joint doctrine.
• Design and plan exercises with stakeholders and other planners.
• Deliver exercise products such as Scenario, RTC, CONOP and OE Overview.
• Coordinate suspense dates based on product development needs.
• Participate in planning conferences and coordination meetings.
