Job summary

Raytheon is seeking a Jira Administrator to join the DevSecOps team on-site in Marlborough, MA (or Tewksbury, MA). The role focuses on user management, workflow customization, and cross-project standardization within Jira across IS and unclassified environments.

Ideal candidates will have 5+ years in Jira administration, scripting (Groovy/JavaScript), and SDLC knowledge, with the ability to obtain Interim Secret clearance. This is a full-time, on-site position requiring U.S. citizenship.

Qualifications

Typically requires a STEM degree and 5+ years of prior relevant experience.
Experience as a Jira Administrator, configuring workflows, permissions, and issue types.
Experience with Jira automation features and scripting languages such as Groovy or JavaScript.
Experience with Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) processes, especially scripting.
Experience with Jira dashboards and the Structure plugin.
Experience with configuration management tools (e.g., Git, GitLab).
Experience with Agile and Scrum principles for Jira workflows.
Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Interim Secret clearance; U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

Oversee user accounts and permissions across Jira platforms.
Ensure consistency and standardization across Jira projects and IS/unclassified environments.
Perform regular system maintenance for performance and reliability.
Provide direct user support and training as needed.
Design and maintain Jira workflows, permissions, and project structures.
Assist with system upgrades to ensure smooth transitions.
Manage integrations with Confluence, GitLab, and other DevOps tools.
Implement and maintain plugins like Structure, ScriptRunner, and JSU Automation.
Develop dashboards, reports, and queries to meet reporting needs.
Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of configurations and processes.
Monitor system performance to address issues proactively.
Develop scripts to automate processes and improve functionality.
Refactor implementations to align with best practices.
