Job summary

Leidos in Alexandria, VA seeks a proactive Senior JIRA Developer and Administrator to aid cloud modernization projects for the United States Coast Guard (USCG) at the Command, Control, Computer, Cyber, and Intelligence Service Center (C5ISC) in Alexandria, VA. You will lead JIRA/Confluence deployments and architect custom workflows.

Responsibilities include daily operational support, requirements gathering, integration of services, training staff, and ensuring secure, scalable configurations

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related discipline such as Computer Science, Information Systems, or Business.
• Minimum of 5 years development and systems administration experience.
• 3+ years SharePoint 2016/2019 on-premises development experience.
• 5+ years Atlassian/JIRA development and administration with custom apps.
• Experience implementing Atlassian plugins.
• Experience with ServiceNow and cloud environments.
• Experience developing software solutions for teams using Atlassian tools and Confluence.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency creating and managing custom JQL filters, dashboards, and Confluence pages.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, mission-focused environment.
• U.S. Citizen eligible for Public Trust and DoD Secret Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain the JIRA platform and related solutions.
• Provide daily operational support and strategic planning for JIRA and Confluence.
• Gather requirements and implement new capabilities on JIRA and Confluence.
• Administer JIRA and Confluence, integrating internal and external services.
• Ensure compatibility with existing tools and services.
• Design and sustain custom projects, workflows, schemes, screens, configurations, automations, permissions, and roles.
• Audit, improve, and automate processes and workflows as needed.
• Train staff on JIRA and Confluence usage.
• Troubleshoot and resolve JIRA issues reported by users.
• Coordinate with customers and cloud hosting team for configurations.
• Provide ad-hoc program support for configurations at application, system, and project levels.
• Manage user access provisioning and ensure proper restrictions.
