Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a JIRA Administrator to configure and govern the Atlassian ecosystem (JIRA and Confluence) to support scalable, efficient workflows across teams. You will balance governance with usability while driving automation and data quality.

You will partner with engineering, product, and operations to translate requirements into system design, maintain integrations, and provide expert enablement and support across the organization.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of hands-on JIRA and Confluence administration experience.
• Strong understanding of JIRA workflows, schemes, and configurations.
• Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
• Experience with JIRA Cloud or Data Center (specify which you use).
• Ability to translate business requirements into system design.
• Strong problem-solving and systems thinking skills.

Responsibilities

• Configure and maintain projects, issue types, workflows, screens and fields.
• Manage permission schemes, notification schemes, roles, user access and security models.
• Maintain system hygiene through archiving, cleanup and standardization.
• Translate business requirements into Jira workflows and processes.
• Design scalable processes across teams and minimize workflow sprawl.
• Build and maintain Jira automation rules and monitor performance.
• Develop dashboards and reports: velocity, burndown, throughput, backlog health.
• Integrate Jira with Slack, ServiceNow, CRM systems via APIs and webhooks.
• Administer Confluence spaces, permissions and templates; evaluate plugins.
