Job summary

Quantum Technologies. LLC is seeking an experienced Java developer to design and maintain Java web services and applications serving internal and public users. Candidates will implement secure authentication, RESTful APIs, and scalable data access with PostgreSQL.

The role emphasizes collaboration with engineers and domain experts, adherence to WCAG accessibility standards, and participation in AWS-based CI/CD pipelines. Strong communication and self-management are required.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of Java Core, Java EE, JPA and JPQL experience.
• 5 years with JSF/PrimeFaces.
• 10 years with PostgreSQL/PLpgSQL.
• 5 years in Cloud/AWS and RESTful services.
• Knowledge of WCAG compatibility.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop Java applications and web services for public and internal users.
• Update existing Java web apps with new enhancements per requirements.
• Build web apps using Java frameworks, preferring EJB and JSF.
• Develop APIs and web apps using PostgreSQL for data storage and queries.
• Implement authentication using OAuth2 or OpenAM.
• Advance CI/CD pipelines in AWS environments.
• Ensure agency data security standards and encryption are used.
• Analyze requirements and translate into system features and functionality.
• Collaborate with developers and SMEs to meet project needs.
• Support continuous improvement by evaluating new technologies.
