Job summary

Quantum Technologies. LLC in Austin, TX seeks an experienced Senior Java Engineer to design, develop, and operate high-availability microservices using Java, Spring Boot, and modern data stores.

You will own cloud infrastructure on AWS, manage EKS/Kubernetes, implement CI/CD with Jenkins, and lead performance tuning, testing, and security practices while collaborating across teams and mentoring engineers.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional Java development experience.
• 3+ years with MongoDB.
• Experience designing highly available distributed systems.
• Strong knowledge of SpringBoot, Redis, Kafka, and microservices.
• Experience with AWS deployments, EKS, Kubernetes, Docker, and Helm.
• Proficient CI/CD with Jenkins, Maven, Git, and PR workflows.
• Understanding of Nginx, HTTP, and CDN performance.
• Familiarity with Splunk for monitoring and debugging.
• Proficient in testing frameworks (JUnit/TestNG).
• Strong communication and leadership across teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize zero-downtime microservices in Java and SpringBoot.
• Drive full software lifecycle from design to deployment with a focus on performance.
• Architect and manage cloud infrastructure on AWS including EKS and containers.
• Implement robust CI/CD pipelines and automated deployments.
• Configure Nginx for load balancing and traffic management.
• Leverage Splunk for monitoring and proactive troubleshooting.
• Collaborate with teams and guide junior engineers.
