Citi is seeking a Java Developer/SQL Lead Developer (Vice President) in Tampa, FL. You will lead senior development, drive platform re-engineering, and coordinate with global teams and business stakeholders to deliver complex data-driven applications.

The role demands strong Java/Spring/SQL expertise, distributed systems experience, and leadership skills to mentor junior staff and ensure compliant, high-quality delivery.

Qualifications

• 6-10 years of relevant experience in Apps Development or systems analysis role.
• Extensive experience in system analysis and programming of software applications.
• Very strong JAVA/Spring/SQL hands-on experience on a distributed platform.
• Strong working experience in Kafka/messaging.
• Strong working experience in caching products such as GemFire or Redis.
• Experience managing and implementing successful projects.
• Subject Matter Expert (SME) in at least one area of Applications Development.
• Ability to adjust priorities quickly as circumstances dictate.
• Demonstrated leadership and project management skills.
• Clear and concise written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Partner with multiple management teams to ensure integration of functions and identify system enhancements.
• Resolve high-impact problems through evaluation of business processes and industry standards.
• Provide expertise in applications programming and ensure design aligns with architecture blueprint.
• Develop coding, testing, debugging, and implementation standards.
• Gain knowledge of how business areas like architecture and infrastructure integrate to achieve goals.
• Provide in-depth analysis and develop innovative solutions.
