Job summary

Citi is seeking an Applications Development Technology Lead Analyst (VP) in a hybrid capacity, spanning Tampa, FL and other locations, to drive end-to-end software development across complex systems. The role emphasizes architecture adherence, automation, and mentorship of junior engineers.

The ideal candidate has deep Java/Spring expertise, experience with Kafka/IBM MQ, NoSQL, and AI-assisted tooling to accelerate delivery while maintaining regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of hands-on experience in application development or Systems Analysis.
• Extensive experience in Software Application Programming and Systems Analysis with end-to-end ownership.
• Deep proficiency in Java, J2EE, Spring, and Spring Boot for enterprise applications in regulated environments.
• Hands-on experience with messaging and event-streaming technologies such as Apache Kafka and IBM MQ.
• Proficiency with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB with data modeling and integration.
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools like Claude or Devin to accelerate engineering workflows.
• Experience designing solutions that adhere to enterprise architecture blueprints, coding standards, and governance frameworks.
• SME in at least one domain of Applications Development with strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Partner with management teams to integrate functions and define system enhancements.
• Resolve high-impact problems through evaluation of complex business and system processes.
• Provide expertise in applications programming and ensure alignment with architecture blueprint.
• Develop standards for coding, testing, debugging, and implementation.
• Understand how areas like architecture and infrastructure integrate to achieve business goals.
• Offer in-depth analysis to define issues and create innovative solutions.
• Serve as advisor or coach to mid-level developers and analysts.
• Assess risk and ensure compliance with laws, policies, and risk management standards.
