Job summary

Schwab Technology Services is seeking a Software Engineer to build and enhance the Billing and Invoicing capabilities across Schwab’s products. You will work with Java/Spring Boot in an Agile Scrum environment, mentoring teammates and delivering secure, scalable solutions that process billions in revenue.

You’ll collaborate with Product Owners and stakeholders, participate in production support, and contribute to a modern tech stack including cloud-ready architectures and automated testing.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience developing large scale software solutions using Java, Spring and Spring Boot framework.
• 5+ years’ experience implementing automated tests and working with high-volume REST APIs.
• 3+ years’ experience with messaging systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ) and authentication protocols (OAuth, SAML).

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deliver solutions as part of an Agile Scrum team.
• Mentor and coach junior team members.
• Support production issues and ensure resilient, secure systems.
• Collaborate with Product Owners to define strategy and scope.
• Deliver new features and concepts with quality through automated testing.
• Drive low-level design of components and libraries.
• Migrate releases into Production and maintain code quality.
