Job summary

Charles Schwab Corporation is seeking a dynamic Software Engineer to build and enhance the Billing and Invoicing tech stack using Java/Spring Boot. The role involves working in an Agile Scrum team, mentoring junior engineers, and delivering high-quality, scalable software that processes billions in revenue across Schwab products.

You will collaborate with product owners and stakeholders, contribute to automated testing, and participate in production support and deployment strategies.

Qualifications

• 6+ years building large-scale Java/Spring applications.
• Experience with high-volume REST services.
• Experience with databases: MongoDB, Aerospike, PostgreSQL/DB2.
• 3+ years messaging with RabbitMQ or Kafka.
• 3+ years with OAuth or SAML.
• Strong Agile principles and collaboration.
• Excellent communication and mentoring skills.
• CI/CD exposure and GitHub/GitLab.
• Cloud platforms such as PCF/AWS/GCP.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deliver solutions in an Agile Scrum team.
• Mentor junior team members.
• Support production issues and build resilient systems.
• Collaborate with product owners to define strategy and scope.
• Deliver new concepts and features in an agile environment.
• Use automated tests and TDD for high-quality software.
