Job summary

The Charles Schwab Corporation is seeking a Software Engineer to bolster our Billing and Invoicing capabilities. You will work in Schwab Technology Services, focusing on Java/Spring Boot and cloud-based solutions across SaaS and in-house apps handling billions in revenue.

You’ll collaborate in an Agile setting, mentor peers, and deliver high-quality, scalable software with modern tooling including GitHub Copilot.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience building large scale Java/Spring applications.
• 5+ years of automated tests (unit/integration/acceptance).
• 3+ years of messaging systems (RabbitMQ, Kafka) and data flows.
• 3+ years of OAuth/SAML and identity protocols.
• Experience with Agile methodologies and collaborative teams.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deliver solutions within an Agile Scrum team.
• Mentor junior engineers and coach best practices.
• Support production and triage issues to ensure reliability.
• Collaborate with product owners to define scope and requirements.
• Deliver new features and concepts in an iterative fashion.
• Apply test-driven development and automated testing frameworks.
• Drive low-level design of components and libraries.
• Migrate releases to Production and maintain code quality.
