Job summary

The Lockwood Group is seeking a Software Developer to design, develop, test, and maintain software applications for a U.S. Army C5ISR program at Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD. You will work with analysts, engineers, and government stakeholders to translate operational requirements into scalable software solutions.

The ideal candidate has a B.S. in a relevant field, 10+ years of software development experience, and proficiency in Java, with strong software architecture and DoD program experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree.
• Minimum 10 years of software development experience.
• Experience analyzing user requirements and developing software architecture solutions.
• Experience conducting testing and debugging activities.
• Experience developing software documentation and technical specifications.
• Proficiency in Java.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain software applications supporting engineering and tactical network systems.
• Analyze user requirements and translate them into software architecture and functional specifications.
• Develop tools, interfaces, and embedded software components.
• Design, develop, and test operating systems-level software, compilers, and network distribution applications.
• Conduct unit, integration, and system-level testing to identify and resolve software defects.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, including user guides and system specifications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure software functionality, performance, and security across platforms.
