Job summary

The Lockwood Group is seeking a Software Developer to design, develop, test, and maintain software applications for a U.S. Army C5ISR program at Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD. You will work with analysts, engineers, and government stakeholders to translate operational requirements into scalable software solutions.

The ideal candidate has a B.S. in a relevant field, 10+ years of software development experience, and proficiency in Java, with strong software architecture and DoD program experience.

Project Overview – PTSS C5ISR Hardware & Software Program

The Lockwood Group supports a C5ISR hardware and software program for a U.S. Army customer located at Aberdeen Proving Ground (APG), MD. This effort provides product technical support services for systems and equipment produced, fielded, modified, or sustained under PdM Network Modernization (NetMod) and PdM Mission Network within the Project Manager Tactical Network (PM TN), Program Executive Office C3T (PEO C3T).

The program supports the development, integration, and sustainment of mission-critical tactical network capabilities to maintain the Army’s technological advantage.

Position Overview

The Software Developer will design, develop, test, and maintain software applications supporting tactical network and C5ISR systems. This role works closely with analysts, engineers, and Government stakeholders to translate operational requirements into scalable, reliable software solutions.

The position requires strong software architecture skills, experience in structured development environments, and the ability to support mission-focused applications within DoD programs.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain software applications supporting engineering and tactical network systems

Analyze user requirements and translate them into software architecture and functional specifications

Develop tools, interfaces, and embedded software components
