Job summary

The Lockwood Group seeks a Software Test Engineer for a U.S. Army C5ISR hardware and software program based at Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD.

You will develop and implement test strategies for complex tactical systems to ensure security, reliability, and mission readiness. Requirements include a Bachelor of Science degree and 7+ years of progressive test and evaluation experience in a DoD or defense contracting setting.

Project Overview – PTSS C5ISR Hardware & Software Program

The Lockwood Group supports a C5ISR hardware and software program for a U.S. Army customer located at Aberdeen Proving Ground (APG), MD. This effort provides product technical support services for systems and equipment produced, fielded, modified, or sustained under PdM Network Modernization (NetMod) and PdM Mission Network within the Project Manager Tactical Network (PM TN), Program Executive Office C3T (PEO C3T).

The program ensures tactical network systems remain secure, scalable, and Fully Mission Capable (FMC) in support of Army modernization and operational readiness objectives.

Position Overview

The Software Test Engineer will develop and implement test strategies for complex tactical systems.
Salary 125-130k

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree
• 7+ years of progressive experience in test and evaluation (T&E) within a DoD or defense contracting environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting programs at Aberdeen Proving Ground
• Familiarity with DoD test documentation: TEMPs, TRRs, STPs, STDs, STRs, SEPs, and OERs
• Working knowledge of software testing practices including PQT, FQT, regression testing, and anomaly reporting
