Job summary

Tokio Marine North America Services is seeking a Java Software Engineer III to design, develop, and maintain enterprise Java EE applications. You will collaborate with analysts, architects, testers, and other teams to analyze requirements and deliver robust solutions.

The role emphasizes hands-on development, troubleshooting, and fast-paced service delivery supporting TMNAS and its Group Company customers. You will participate in technical upgrades, DevOps automation, and end-to-end support

Qualifications

• 4+ years of application development experience using Java EE (JEE) technologies.
• Experience developing web services (SOAP/REST) and integrating with Azure API Management (APIM).
• Experience working with Agile methodologies such as Scrum.
• Experience with SQL and databases such as SQL Server and Oracle.
• Experience configuring and developing on JBoss, Spring Boot, or other application servers.
• Experience with source code repositories (Git) and branching strategies.
• Experience with unit testing and code quality/coverage tools such as SonarQube and JaCoCo.
• Experience with deployment automation tools such as Octopus Deploy and Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools and integrating them into day-to-day engineering workflows.
• Experience building microservices and deploying to Kubernetes-based containers.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and configure Java EE (JEE) applications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on projects and support.
• Provide technical analysis, estimates, and option assessments.
• Build proof-of-concept solutions to validate approaches.
• Plan upgrades and drive DevOps and automation improvements.
• Ensure code quality and maintain SDLC standards.
• Provide end-to-end application support across environments.
• Research and evaluate solution approaches considering constraints and standards.
• Deliver reliable, scalable enterprise applications for TMNAS and clients.
