Job summary

Tenable is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our core product engineering team. You will help design, develop, and maintain cloud-based search solutions on top of our customers’ evolving infrastructure in a scalable way.

You will implement and maintain a highly scalable cloud-native UI and microservices; focus on building the plumbing that powers data ingestion, storage, querying, and retrieval at scale. You’ll mentor peers and drive architecture across the platform.

Qualifications

• BS in Computer Science or related field.
• 4+ years of software development experience.
• Experience with event-driven systems (Kafka, SQS, RabbitMQ) is a plus.
• Experience in distributed, microservice architecture and databases (SQL/NoSQL).
• Familiarity with Agile teams and mentoring junior staff.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable cloud-based search services and microservices.
• Build robust data ingestion, storage, querying, and retrieval pipelines.
• Lead architecture discussions and drive feature development across teams.
• Collaborate with product managers and other engineers to improve architecture and performance.
