Job summary

Tenable is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our core product engineering team. You will design, develop, and maintain cloud-based search solutions atop a scalable data landscape, building the reliable data ingestion, storage, and retrieval services that power our platform.

You will lead architecture, mentor peers, and collaborate with product managers and engineers to evolve a robust cloud architecture using Java/Kotlin and Kubernetes, driving innovative features for a broad customer

Qualifications

• 4+ years of software development experience in enterprise development and a desire to lead.
• Experience in distributed, microservice architecture.
• Experience in database performance tuning, schema design, and query optimization.
• B.S. degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Proficiency in Java or Kotlin; willingness to learn new languages.

Responsibilities

• Architect, design and implement features to drive platform architecture.
• Lead mid-level and junior engineers in design and execution of technical projects.
• Craft services for data ingestion, storage and retrieval at scale across cloud-native microservices.
