Cognizant is seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer to design, develop, and support cloud-native applications that deliver scalable, high-performing user experiences. You will work with architects, product owners, and developers to build secure solutions across modern cloud environments.

The role emphasizes Java, Spring Boot, AWS, and Kubernetes, with opportunities to work on microservices, batch processing, and REST APIs while adhering to Agile and CI/CD best practices.

Qualifications

• Extensive professional experience with Java (8/11/17+) in enterprise apps.
• Strong Spring Framework and Spring Boot skills including REST services and microservices.
• Cloud-native apps on AWS with services like DynamoDB, S3, IAM and Serverless.
• Good grasp of AWS Kubernetes and event-driven patterns.
• Spring Batch for large-scale batch processing.
• APIs using REST, JSON, and OpenAPI specs.
• IAM and cloud security best practices.
• Observability with Datadog.
• Non-relational DBs, notably DynamoDB.
• Git/GitHub, CI/CD pipelines, automated tests, GitHub Actions.
• Diagnostics: troubleshoot, debug, resolve complex production issues.
• Software development best practices, performance, and scalability.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and support cloud-native applications using Java, Spring Boot, AWS, and Kubernetes.
• Build and maintain scalable microservices, serverless apps, and event-driven architectures.
• Develop batch processing with Spring Batch for large-scale data jobs.
• Create and consume RESTful APIs with focus on performance, security, and reliability.
• Troubleshoot production issues through monitoring and root-cause analysis.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams using Agile and CI/CD.
