Job summary

JPMorganChase, within the Commercial & Investment Bank, seeks a seasoned Software Engineer III to design and deliver trusted, secure, scalable technology in a fast-paced agile setting. You will contribute across multiple tech areas to support critical business objectives with a strong focus on modern Java, OpenAPI, AI-assisted development, and secure coding practices.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3 years applied experience.
• Experience with Java, Spring, and OpenAPI for enterprise applications.
• Advanced experience with Java, J2EE and SQL server.
• Hands-on experience with AI-assisted development tools and secure coding practices.
• Understanding of responsible AI use and secure software workflows.
• Experience across the full Software Development Life Cycle.
• Exposure to CI/CD, resiliency, and security practices.
• Knowledge of cloud, AI/ML, mobile, or related disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Executes software solutions, design and development with attention to quality and scalability.
• Leverages AI coding assist tools to improve code quality and delivery speed, validated by peer review and testing.
• Applies SDLC tools and enterprise practices to enhance automation and value.
• Produces secure, high-quality production code and maintains algorithms.
• Creates architecture and design artifacts for complex applications and ensures design constraints are met.
• Gathers and analyzes data to produce visualizations and drive software improvements.
• Identifies data patterns to improve coding hygiene and system architecture.
• Contributes to engineering communities and adopts emerging technologies.
