Job summary

Verizon in New Jersey seeks a senior software architect and delivery lead to build and scale the OSQAR service with AI. You will guide Agile Scrum teams, define architecture, APIs, and non-functional requirements while aligning with Verizon North Star standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or four+ years of relevant work experience.
• 4+ years of relevant experience required, demonstrated through work or military experience.
• Proven proficiency in Java and Python.
• Experience with Java/JavaScript, JMS, Micro Services, RESTful and SOAP web services.
• Knowledge of AWS, Kubernetes, Docker, relational databases, jQuery, React JS and Node JS.
• Track record designing real-time, cloud-based architectures and solving complex problems.

Responsibilities

• Operate within the Agile framework and lead end-to-end system design.
• Collaborate with product owners to design solutions meeting user and market needs.
• Write low-level design and architecture runway enablers.
• Ensure designs follow Verizon North Star Architecture and security standards.
• Own strategic cross-functional projects and delivery quality within budget.
• Define requirements and set up proof-of-concept environments.
• Explore new technologies and use cases for enterprise needs.
• Review high-level approach documents for completeness.
• Develop detailed API specs and data formats aligned with HLAs.
• Define non-functional and performance requirements.
• Engage early in the engagement process.
