Citi in Tampa, FL is seeking a Senior Full Stack Java Software Engineer to design and build enterprise applications across front and back end. You will work on Spring Boot, React, and Oracle-based solutions, contribute to architecture, and leverage AI-driven development tools.

The role requires 5+ years in Java/Spring, strong Oracle/SQL skills, and a bachelor’s degree. You’ll operate in a hybrid environment with a mix of in-office and remote work and join Citi’s global technology community.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of software development experience in Java, Spring Boot, and Oracle.
• Strong knowledge of data structures and object-oriented design using Java.
• Design microservices and event-driven systems with Spring Boot.
• Develop user interfaces using React, HTML5 and CSS.
• Write and optimize SQL/PL-SQL queries for Oracle databases.
• Use CI/CD tools like Maven, Gradle, Docker, and Jenkins.
• Bachelor's degree in CS, software engineering, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain full stack Java applications using Spring Boot, React, and Oracle for enterprise solutions.
• Write clean, well-tested code and pair with engineers to meet sprint goals.
• Break down acceptance criteria to clarify scope, complexity, and risk for backlog items.
• Design and build RESTful and GraphQL APIs to support microservices and cloud-native apps.
• Containerize applications with Docker and orchestrate with Kubernetes for reliable deployments.
• Apply AI tools such as GitHub Copilot to speed development and improve quality.
• Investigate root causes of performance and coding issues and implement fixes.
• Shape technical and team standards in collaboration with leadership.
