JPMorganChase seeks an experienced Software Engineer III in New York to design, build, and operate scalable backend services and agentic workflows using Java, Spring Boot, and AWS. You will empower AI-assisted development while ensuring secure coding standards and high reliability across multiple business functions.

You will contribute to microservices architecture, cloud deployment, and performance testing, collaborating in an agile team to deliver trusted technology products for the firm.

Competenze

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experience.
• Backend experience Java 21, SpringBoot, Spring Cloud
• Front end experience with TypeScript, JavaScript
• Implement micro-services architecture leveraging Spring Cloud for service discovery, configuration, and resilience
• Implement and maintain AWS infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC), Lambda. S3, Kafka
• Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
• Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with one or more modern programming languages and database querying languages
• Hands-on experience using enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools within the work environment
• Understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows, secure handling of inputs/outputs
• Overall knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle
• Solid understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security

• Executes software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine
• Leverages enterprise-authorized AI coding assist tools to improve code quality and productivity; validates outputs via peer review and testing
• Design, develop, and maintain backend services and agentic workflows using TypeScript and APIs with Java and Spring Boot
• Implement micro-services architecture leveraging Spring Cloud for service discovery, configuration, and resilience
• Containerize and deploy applications on AWS using ECS, EKS, Lambda, or EC2
• Implement and maintain AWS infrastructure using IaC
• Implements reactive programming paradigms for high-performance systems
• Apply 12-factor app principles and best practices for cloud-native development
• Design and execute performance and load tests using JMeter or Blazemeter
• Produce architecture and design artifacts and ensure design constraints are met by code
• Gathers and visualizes data to drive continuous improvement of software applications
