Job summary

JPMorganChase is seeking a Software Engineer III in the Business Access & Tools division. You will join an agile team to design and deliver trusted market-leading technology products securely, at scale, and with reliability.

You will build backend services with Java/Spring Boot, expose APIs via TypeScript front-ends, and deploy microservices on AWS (ECS/EKS/Lambda). You’ll apply 12-factor, IaC, CI/CD, performance testing, and AI-assisted development tools to raise quality and speed.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts.
• 3+ years of applied software engineering experience.
• Backend experience with Java 21, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud.
• Frontend experience with TypeScript, JavaScript.
• AWS infrastructure with IaC, Lambda, S3, Kafka.
• Experience in enterprise environments with modern languages and DB querying.
• Experience using enterprise AI-assisted development tools and ability to evaluate AI outputs.

Responsibilities

• Executes software solutions, design, development, and troubleshooting beyond routine approaches.
• Leverages enterprise AI coding assist tools to improve quality and productivity.
• Design, develop, and maintain backend services and TypeScript/Java APIs.
• Implement microservices architecture with Spring Cloud for discovery and resilience.
• Containerize and deploy on AWS (ECS, EKS, Lambda, EC2).
• Apply 12-factor app principles and cloud-native best practices.
• Design and execute performance and load tests (JMeter/Blazemeter).
• Produce architecture artifacts and ensure design constraints are met.
