Job summary

NiCE is seeking a seasoned software engineer to lead low-level design for LOB products. The role emphasizes Java full-stack expertise, cloud-native development, and enterprise-scale architecture across global scrum teams.

The candidate will drive feature design, roadmap alignment, and high/low-level technical designs to ensure scalable, maintainable software used by millions of users. A strong background in SaaS, microservices, and TDD is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor/Master of Engineering Degree in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering or equivalent from reputed institute.
• 8-11 years of software development experience in backend and frontend technologies.
• Experience in enterprise-grade software that scales and integrates into a broad ecosystem.
• Experience in high-performance, highly available systems.
• Experience delivering SaaS hosted/multi-tenant software.
• Strong experience with Java, J2EE, Spring, Spring Boot, Hibernate, REST APIs, and JSON.
• Familiarity with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud; microservices and cloud-native development.
• Knowledge of software design patterns.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to influence in complex situations.
• Hands-on CI/CD experience;
• Experience with TDD and unit/system test automation (JUnit, Karma).
• Exposure to AI-powered engineering solutions and AI Agents (Claude Code/GitHub Copilot).
• Experience working in a global, matrix organization.

Responsibilities

• Own Low-Level Design for Line of Business products end-to-end.
• Demonstrate strong Java full-stack expertise with cloud-native development and enterprise architecture.
• Foster innovation and adoption of new technologies.
• Deliver high-quality enterprise products used by millions of users.
• Work with multiple geo-located teams to define product roadmap and architecture.
• Prepare high- and low-level designs to ensure quality, scalability, and maintainability.
