Job summary

Luxoft in Tampa, FL is seeking a senior Java developer to build business and technical features for existing and new applications. You will rewrite legacy components using Spring Boot and Spring Cloud, and explore Kotlin and Groovy on internal projects.

Responsibilities include configuring Windows and Linux environments, integrating components with internal/external systems, managing CI/CD with Jenkins/TeamCity, writing tests, and designing distributed microservice architectures.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 10 years of commercial Java experience.
• Strong Spring knowledge (Boot, IoC, MVC, AOP, Security, Data, JDBC, Test).
• Good knowledge of SQL and relational databases (Oracle).
• Understanding of Servlets, Servlet containers (Tomcat) and application servers (Weblogic).
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines (TeamCity/Jenkins).
• Hands-on Linux experience and scripting basics.

Responsibilities

• Develop business and technical features for existing and new applications.
• Prototype ideas and rewrite legacy components using Spring Boot/Spring Cloud (Kotlin, Groovy).
• Configure and maintain Windows and Linux environments and monitor systems.
• Integrate components with internal and external client systems.
• Setup, monitor, and troubleshoot application servers (Tomcat, WebLogic).
• Design distributed applications and microservices architectures with load balancing and stateless components.
• Write unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.
