Job summary

M&T Bank is seeking an experienced software engineer to own advanced integration development for Commercial Lending’s services, including Salesforce/nCino. You will write clean, secure Java code and drive delivery across teams within the SDLC framework.

You will mentor engineers, participate in release management, and help modernize cloud-based integrations while ensuring reliability and regulatory compliance. This hybrid role supports 4 days in-office with 1 day remote weekly.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree with 5+ years of systems analysis and/or development, or Bachelor's with 3+ years.
• Experience writing Java-based integration services and secure, scalable code.
• Knowledge of SDLC, release engineering, and operational readiness.

Responsibilities

• Build and integrate Java-based services and platform components across Salesforce/nCino.
• Lead technical delivery of cross-team integrations and document implementation details.
• Support cloud modernization, migration planning, and pre-production readiness.
• Serve as release engineer on rotation; manage RFCs, changes, and runbooks.
• Develop automated API tests and use AI-assisted tools to improve quality.
• Mentor junior engineers and share best practices across teams.
