Job summary

Beacon Hill Staffing Group, LLC is seeking a Senior Software Development Engineer to design, build, and extend enterprise applications with Java and Spring Boot, and to lead modernization initiatives in a remote setting.

You will mentor teammates, guide technical direction while remaining hands-on, and collaborate with business and technology teams to deliver scalable APIs and cloud-based solutions on AWS/Azure/GCP in an Agile environment.

Qualifications

• Strong experience with Java, Spring Boot, and related frameworks.
• Experience building APIs with REST, SOAP, and messaging.
• Delivery of enterprise-scale software in complex environments.
• Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Strong Agile/Scrum practices and hands-on leadership.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise apps using Java and Spring Boot.
• Build and support APIs and integration services using REST, SOAP, MQ.
• Provide technical leadership while staying hands-on.
• Collaborate with business and technology teams to deliver scalable solutions.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, code reviews, architecture discussions, mentoring.
• Support cloud migration and modernization initiatives.
