Job summary

Beacon Hill Technologies is seeking a Senior Software Development Engineer to design, build, and enhance enterprise applications using Java, Spring Boot, and cloud services. This remote role combines hands-on development with technical leadership to influence architecture and modernization initiatives.

You will mentor teammates, participate in Agile ceremonies, and collaborate with business and tech groups to deliver scalable, high-quality solutions across platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.

Qualifications

• Expertise with Java, Spring Boot, and related frameworks.
• Experience building APIs with REST, SOAP, and messaging (MQ).
• Track record delivering enterprise-scale software in complex environments.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum development.
• Demonstrated leadership while staying hands-on.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise applications using Java and Spring Boot.
• Build and support APIs and integration services using REST, SOAP, and MQ.
• Provide technical leadership while remaining hands-on in development.
• Collaborate with business and technology teams to deliver scalable solutions.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, code reviews, architecture discussions, and mentoring.
