Job summary

Jefferies is seeking a senior developer to design and build their high-performance FI E-Trading platform, collaborating with traders and quants to electronically execute orders across multiple ECNs. You will contribute to architecture, scalability, and reliability in a fast-paced trading environment.

Requires 5+ years in financial services, front office trading system experience, and strong Java and KDB/Q skills. FIX knowledge and message routing familiarity are a plus.

Qualifications

• BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
• 5 years of financial service experience and effective desk communication.
• Strong design, coding, testing and debugging skills.
• Front office trading system experience with emphasis on E-Trading and FIX knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Design & development of the firm’s proprietary FI E-Trading platform.
• Understand RUN, Axes, RFQs workflow for Dealer to Client markets.
• Collaborate with traders and quants to build real-time trading apps that execute orders across ECNs.
• Support and enhance existing infrastructure using Java, KDB/Q and related tech.
• Drive design with emphasis on high availability, scalability and reusability.
• Mentor junior developers and promote reusable framework.
