Job summary

Luxoft seeks a Hands-on Senior Java Developer for a greenfield trading platform project in a hybrid US-based role. You will design and deliver low-latency services interfacing with trading, quant, compliance and IT teams.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years of backend Java experience, strong Spring/Kafka skills, and SQL Server knowledge, with experience in CI/CD and enterprise architectures.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of core Java backend development experience.
• Proficient with JDK 11 or 17.
• Experience with enterprise services and cloud deployment.
• Strong experience with Spring (Boot/Actuator).
• Experience with messaging (Kafka/ActiveMQ).
• MS SQL Server and/or Sybase experience.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tooling (Jenkins, Git, SonarQube).
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Hands on senior Java development for a low-latency trading platform.
• Collaborate with trading, quantitative, compliance and IT teams.
• Provide work estimates and design system architectures.
• Maintain and improve code quality using static/dynamic analyses and CI/CD gating.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to the team.
• Design, build and configure applications to meet business requirements.
• Participate in all phases of the software delivery lifecycle.
