Job summary
Butler America is seeking a Java Developer - WebMethod Engineer to support the CCS modernization by upgrading Java components from 8 to 11+ and refactoring affected code. The role involves ensuring smooth integration with Documentum and WebMethods components.
The candidate will partner with Kiro to accelerate analysis, refactoring, and modernization activities, with a requirement of 5+ years of Java development and USC citizenship. Location options include Remote or Seattle, WA.
Qualifications
- 5+ years Java development experience.
- Experience with REST, Spring Boot, and integration patterns.
- Familiarity with JMS, SOAP/REST or middleware.
- Experience reviewing AI-generated outputs.
- Proficient in Git, Jenkins, and Maven/Gradle.
Responsibilities
- Upgrade CCS Java services from Java 8 to Java 11+.
- Refactor code impacted by deprecated APIs and library updates.
- Redesign and validate Java integrations with Documentum.
- Collaborate with WebMethods developers for end-to-end communication.
- Use Kiro to accelerate: code analysis, automated refactoring proposals, test generation; participate in code reviews, CI/CD.
