Job summary

Citi is seeking a Lead Software Engineer in New York to drive delivery of the Prime Sequel Platform within the Prime Finance P&L engine. You will design and implement scalable, robust software and lead a global development team.

Responsibilities include end-to-end delivery, architectural guidance, and mentorship, leveraging Java/Spring, microservices, SQL, and Linux in a fast-paced finance environment.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of progressive software development experience.
• Strong Java application development, including Spring and microservices.
• Experience with SQL and Linux environments.
• Familiarity with TDD and agile methodologies.
• Ability to work with global teams and complex business requirements.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement scalable components for the Prime Sequel Platform.
• Analyze complex technical and business challenges and propose robust solutions.
• Oversee SDLC phases and ensure timely, high-quality delivery.
• Mentor junior engineers and promote best practices in the team.
• Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to translate requirements into architecture.
