Job summary

MISO is hiring a Software Engineer III to design, build, and modernize reliable Java/Spring Boot applications. You will lead technical aspects of features, drive quality, and work across product teams in a data-intensive, compliance-driven environment.

You will apply AI-enabled development practices to accelerate delivery and ensure secure, scalable systems that support the grid and a $10B capacity market. This role offers a base salary and bonus potential with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/EE or related field, 5+ years of experience.
• Proficient in Java/Spring Boot with full lifecycle ownership.
• Experience applying AI-assisted development tools and reviews.
• Knowledge of secure SDLC and governance practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, test, deploy, operate, and modernize Java/Spring Boot apps in data-intensive environments.
• Lead technical aspects of features, estimate work, and coordinate implementation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to clarify evolving requirements.
• Apply AI throughout the SDLC to accelerate delivery and quality.
