Job summary

Teamware Solutions Inc is seeking a Senior Java Developer for a contract-to-hire role in Chicago, IL. The candidate will design, develop, and maintain scalable enterprise applications using Java 17, Spring Boot, and microservices architecture.

Responsibilities include building RESTful APIs, working with Kafka for event-driven systems, and AWS-based deployment including EC2, ECS, EMR, RDS, and S3. Strong SQL skills and Angular experience are required for effective integration and delivery.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of hands-on Java development experience.
• Proficiency with Java 17 and Spring Boot.
• Experience designing microservices and RESTful APIs.
• Hands-on with Kafka and AWS (EC2/ECS/EMR/RDS/S3).
• EMR experience is mandatory and SQL expertise is required.
• Angular experience and enterprise app development background.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable enterprise applications using Java 17, Spring Boot, and Microservices.
• Develop and integrate RESTful APIs and enterprise services.
• Build and maintain event-driven applications using Kafka.
• Develop and support applications running within the AWS ecosystem.
• Work with AWS services including EC2, ECS, EMR, RDS, and S3.
• Write, optimize, and troubleshoot complex SQL queries against large databases.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement technical solutions.
• Troubleshoot production issues and ensure performance, reliability, and scalability.
• Contribute to application modernization and cloud migration initiatives.
