Job summary

Evlos Technology LLC in San Antonio, TX seeks an experienced Senior Software Engineer to design, develop, test, and maintain Java-based software solutions with a focus on APIs, microservices, and scalable architectures.

You will work across the stack, mentor engineers, and collaborate with customers and architects while spending about two days per week in the San Antonio office under a hybrid model. A U.S. government security clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Active U.S. Government Secret security clearance or higher is required at the time of hire.
• U.S. citizenship is required.
• 9+ years of relevant Software Engineering experience with Spring/Guava and a related Bachelor's degree; OR 7+ years with a Master's degree; OR 13+ years with a High School Diploma.
• Strong Java development experience and enterprise API design.
• Experience with RESTful web services and microservices architecture.
• Experience building and maintaining Kubernetes deployments using Helm and Flux.
• Experience working in Agile software development lifecycle.
• Proficiency with Linux, Git, Nexus, and Maven.
• Demonstrated technical leadership, mentoring, or management experience.
• Ability to work in a hybrid environment with two days per week in the San Antonio office.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain Java-based software solutions and capabilities.
• Apply modern Java frameworks and libraries to develop scalable, reliable software solutions.
• Design and develop enterprise APIs, RESTful web services, and microservices-based applications.
• Build, maintain, and support Kubernetes deployments using Helm and Flux.
• Troubleshoot complex technical issues and develop effective solutions in a fast-paced environment.
• Maintain strong testing practices and contribute to reliability and performance.
• Stay current with emerging software development technologies and practices.
• Transition between hands-on development and technical leadership as needed.
• Mentor and support fellow engineers and contribute to team growth and success.
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, customers, and stakeholders.
