Job summary

Evlos Technology LLC in San Antonio, TX seeks a Senior DevOps Engineer with active TS/SCI clearance to design, deploy, and lead cloud infrastructure in AWS (EKS) and on-premises environments. You will build IaC with Terraform and Ansible, manage Kubernetes clusters, and advance CI/CD pipelines across teams.

You'll mentor engineers, collaborate with development groups, and support secure, scalable deployments in a fast-paced government-related setting, with on-site work 3–5 days per week.

Qualifications

• Active TS U.S. Government security clearance required at time of hire.
• U.S. citizenship is required.
• 3+ years of relevant experience with a Master’s degree in a related field; OR 5+ years with a Bachelor’s degree.
• Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes or other container orchestration platforms.
• Strong knowledge of AWS services including EKS, EC2, EBS, S3 and Lambda.
• Experience with Terraform and Ansible.
• Proficiency with scripting languages (Python, Bash, Go).
• Experience with Git, Flux, and related deployment tools.
• Strong Linux knowledge and system administration skills.
• Understanding of CI/CD principles and agile software development.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, deploy, and support cloud infrastructure in AWS, focusing on EKS.
• Support on-premises, edge, and portable infrastructure alongside cloud environments.
• Develop and maintain automated deployment processes for reliability and scalability.
• Deploy, manage, monitor, and maintain Kubernetes-based environments and AWS infrastructure.
• Develop IaC and configuration management using Terraform and Ansible.
• Build and improve CI/CD pipelines for efficient software delivery.
• Collaborate with development teams to productionize applications.
• Monitor performance, troubleshoot production issues, and implement fixes.
• Identify opportunities to increase automation and reduce manual work.
• Support deployment, scaling, and lifecycle management of applications and containers.
• Develop automation and tooling using Python, Bash, and Go.
• Troubleshoot Linux-based systems across complex environments.
• Evaluate new technologies to improve infrastructure and security.
